About me

I’m a freelance journalist with more than 25 years of experience ranging from feature and news writing to content marketing and publications management. I’ve also sat on the editor’s desk and managed teams of writers around the globe.

As a business journalist, I’ve written on a range of issues including holistic health, biotechnology, immigration, gay marriage, parenting, transportation and wireless communications. I’ve covered regulatory and legal issues, business development, as well as deep dives into technical scientific material. I’ve also managed daily publications, so I understand how important turning around crisp copy is on a tight deadline.

A few years ago, I quit my corporate job in Washington, D.C., and moved to Perth, Australia to create a simpler life as a freelance writer. I love traveling and meeting new people and sharing stories, and I think that’s why my interviews flow so easily.

Lately, I’m translating these storytelling skills into feature stories that I hope will connect humanity more to help heal the broken pieces of ourselves so that we can come together to transform the world.

I’m looking for compassionate, open people to work with. We can share our stories, inspire others, and make our corners of the world a little brighter.

If you are an editor, who would like to see more stories that connect humanity rather than divide us, we should chat.

If you’re someone who has a story to tell, we should chat.

If you’re a business owner, perhaps you have a story to tell but don’t know where to start. I can help you cut through the clutter to better communicate your vision to the world. Whether you need help with content marketing for your website or want a feature story, I can help you extract the gems that reflect your vision.

When I’m not writing or reading, I can be found walking on the beach, planning my next vacation, or lazing around with my husband Hamed (who thankfully does the cooking). I also share space with two of my three grown children, Adam and Emma, two cats named Annie and Miko, and my dog Amber, who is almost human.
